The 2017 Leon ST CUPRA’s release date is March 2017, but register your interest with us now and you’ll be the first to find out more about the Leon CUPRA 300’s specification as well as prices and performance figures. From its new 4Drive traction system to its Pedestrian Protection technology, the new Sports Tourer CUPRA is more capable than ever no matter what the circumstance. And it still boasts the same highly practical cabin with a vast 1470 litres of load space, along with features like a folding front passenger seat. It all adds up to a formidably capable package, whether you’re looking to transport a family through town or enjoy all 300PS along a quiet country road.
The newly uprated version of SEAT’s advanced 2.0 TSI turbocharged engine now produces an amazing 300PS, meaning the new CUPRA is the most powerful SEAT road car ever, and the Sports Tourer its fastest estate car ever. As well as a boost that makes it 10PS more powerful than before, maximum torque has increased by an even larger amount. With a rise of 30Nm, there is now 380Nm at the driver’s disposal, and its produced from as little as 1,800rpm right up to 5,500rpm. This means performance on demand, almost from the moment you put your foot down, from tick-over right up to the redline.
The SEAT Leon ST CUPRA 300 now comes equipped with SEAT’s advanced 4Drive traction system, paired to the ultra-quick reacting double-clutch, six-speed automatic gearbox. Harking back to its roots with the 2000 launch of the Leon CUPRA with an all-wheel-drive system, the new Leon ST CUPRA 300 now enjoys a similar set-up. Improving traction, acceleration response and steering control, 4Drive is a permanent 4x4 integral traction system that utilises the fifth generation of Haldex clutch. The 2017 ST CUPRA also comes with dynamic chassis control, combining progressive steering and an electronic self-locking differential, for even better steering responses and traction at the front wheels.
The way the CUPRA drives can be changed to better suit the drivers’ tastes and the driving environment, with CUPRA Drive Profile. With four modes to choose from - Comfort, Sport, Individual and CUPRA – a driver can chose exactly how the Leon reacts to both driver inputs and the road beneath the car. CUPRA mode brings the ultimate in hot hatch performance, and takes the driving experience to another level with sharper chassis and suspension settings. Register your interest with us now and you could be one of the first to test drive this technology in the newest CUPRA 300 model.
The Leon Sports Tourer has versatility at its very core, and despite packing more power and technology the new ST CUPRA is as practical as ever. Along with all the other great features of the Leon range, the estate version comes with an impressive boot capacity of 587 litres with the rear seats up, which can easily expand to 1,470 litres at just the pull of a handle, thanks to the innovative Easy Rear Seat-back Release mechanism. The boot has a chrome loading sill, for added protection, and offers numerous storage possibilities thanks to a double boot floor design.
It may be spacious, comfortable and practical, but that’s not to say it doesn’t stir the emotions when you step inside, like all truly great performance cars do. The Sports seats offer an excellent blend of comfort and support, while the optional CUPRA bucket seats go even further towards the sporty side, with large bolsters for the ultimate support. Ambient LED lighting, a sculpted flat-bottom steering wheel and alloy pedal covers accentuated the sporting feel inside. Why not also take a look at the SEAT SC Cupra?
The new Leon ST CUPRA 300 comes with the latest driver assistance systems to ensure an easier and safer drive in all conditions and environments, from dry roads to treacherously wet ones, and from city speeds to motorway cruising. The Leon ST CUPRA protects as well as performs.
